Culture

One of the best ways to experience the local culture is at the 400 Block, a lively outdoor square in the middle of downtown Wausau that puts on a number of concerts, markets and festivals each year. The nearby Grand Theatre also hosts more than 300 musical and artistic performances annually, for those looking for a night of class and culture-rich entertainment.聽

With the 1,528-acre Rib Mountain State Park nearby, you鈥檒l never be at a loss for something to do. The park is also home to Granite Peak, a popular ski hill, and not too far away is one of the longest 鈥渞ail trails鈥� in Wisconsin, as well as the state鈥檚 longest tubing hill at Sylvan Hill Park.
